This kit pairs the BY061 wall control with our mini receiver. The wall control replaces your wall switch and needs no neutral wire; the receiver sits inside the canopy and takes over the fan and light from there.

Two parts, two jobs
The wall control
Mounted at the switch box, wired in line with the fan supply. It is mains powered — there is no battery to change — and it needs no neutral wire, so it fits older homes where the switch box has only the two switch wires.
Fan speed, fan off, the light button and a main power switch all sit on the control, where a wall switch used to be.
The mini receiver
The receiver sits inside the canopy above the fan and is 2.8 × 2.15 × 1 in at its longest edges — the part that matters when the canopy is already full of wiring.
It pairs to the wall control by matching four DIP switches, so a neighbour's control cannot operate your fan.

Wall control or wall control only?
If your fan is already controlled from the wall and you only need speed plus dimming, the BY061 wall control on its own is the shorter route. Add the receiver when the fan needs a ceiling-side unit as well — this kit.

Works with
- 3-speed AC ceiling fans with a four-position controller.
- Switch boxes with no neutral wire — the control is wired in line with the supply.
- Canopies with limited room — the receiver is 2.8 × 2.15 × 1 in.
- Dimmable LED and CFL lamps, and incandescent or halogen on the light circuit.
Does not work with
- DC motor ceiling fans. They use a different controller.
- Non-dimmable LED and CFL lamps. They switch on and off, but will not dim.
- Reverse / direction control. Use the switch on the fan housing as before.
- Fans whose controller does not match. A four-position fan control is the prerequisite.
